Sarah Musavi is a Certified Health Coach as well as a medical and health writer in Ottawa, Canada. She has designed a flexible life for herself so that she can be the voice for healthcare practitioners and continue to support communities, especially teenagers, with their health. She started her health-coaching journey in 2011 as the CEO of My Health Alive, a health service that supports women to deal with weight issues using an alternative and holistic approach to health. After six years of working primarily with food, exercise, and lifestyle habits, Sarah is passionate about supporting teenagers discover their potential. Her goal is to strengthen this generation so we can have an energetic adult population in the next ten years.
Her Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA), coupled with a Ph.D in Biochemistry, gives her a strong research and scientific background to interpret and communicate healthcare data in order to bring about positive health outcomes. Appreciated by her colleagues for her focus and attention to detail, her tailor-made nutrition programs and coaching ensure that people become healthy and happy and are positively transformed. Her extensive travels have given her a wide perspective of various cultures. Passionate about health, education, and children, she seeks to help eliminate obesity in youngsters and also conducts coaching and workshops for children and parents to help them achieve their personal best.
Sarah has also taken up the task of simplifying medical terminology, concepts and health through her writing services. This idea was born out of a need for removing various myths, confusion and simplifying the health information available. Her ‘funda’ in life, ‘to keep flowing,’ ensures that she finds new ways to innovate in her work so that she can transform and touch people’s lives in a positive way and make the world a better place.
